The Wyld branding was inspired by these humble stones.
We spent years searching for the Wyld identity, yet it was our local stones that sang out to us.
They are the foundation of our land and seas. And the foundation of our beautiful city, Stockholm, too.
Plus their colors, their rich earthy hues! Unlike the vivid greens and blues that are nowhere to be found during our long, dark winters, these earthy tones remain. They are with us in all seasons, reminding us to live slowly and deliberately.
They’re also our ancestors’ original instruments, reminding us to stay connected not only to the land but also to those who got us here.

Georgia O’Keeffe, our forever muse, was an avid stone collector as well. You can see some of them lining the shelves in her dining area. They were also displayed in window sills all over her home.

She found the stones on her daily walks through the canyons and badlands that surrounded her home in Abiquiú, New Mexico.
That’s another thing I love about stones. They are ubiquitous. Flora and fauna change quite drastically around the world, but wherever I go, I find these stones. They feel like home.
Once I showed my son (then 3 years old) a photo of Franco Magnani’s home with the living stone overhang inside. To this day he STILL reminds me of it and asks when I am getting on get one for our home. Dreams!
But seriously, I want a stone overhang too. Or this Sardinian staircase will do.

Stones may seem hard and unrelenting, but they allow themselves to be shaped by everything around them. Wind, water, creatures big and small. For centuries, we have made our homes in them, with them.
